Cisco Career Certifications: three levels, seven tracks
The Cisco Career Certification Program offers three levels of certification.
- Associate level: the basic level of networking certification. Starting with CCNA, this level also exists of the CCNA Concentrations: CCNA Voice, CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless.
- Professional level is the advanced level of certification, existing of certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCNP Voice and CCNP Security.
- Expert – the highest certification level for networking specialists – is also known as CCIE (Cisco Certified Internet Expert).
Certification can be attained in various fields: Routing and Switching, Design, Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking, Voice and Wireless.
Cisco Specialist Certifications
In addition to the Cisco Career Certifications, Cisco offers Cisco Specialist certifications to demonstrate competence in specific technology areas (such as Data Center, Express Foundation, IP Communications, Security or Wireless), solutions, and/or job roles.
Cisco Channel Partner Certifications
Developed for Cisco Channel Partners exclusively are the Channel Partner Certifications.
