New Cisco courses and exams for Cisco WebEx and Cisco UC on UCS

Cisco introducing new courses and exams for Collaboration Architecture and Advanced Unified Communications specializations

Starting 10th October 2012 Cisco will change the requirements for the Collaboration Architecture specialization and the Advanced Unified Communications specialization.

As the result of advances in the Cisco Collaboration Architecture portfolio, the !Rich Media Cisco Qualified Specialist requirement will be permanently removed from both the Advanced Collaboration Architecture and the Advanced Unified Communications Specializations on 10th January 2013.

Concurrently, Cisco will be introducing 2 new requirements on 10th October 2012: the Cisco WebEx Solutions Design and Implementation Specialist and the Designing and Implementing Cisco Unified Communications on Unified Computing Systems Specialist.

The new specialist certifications will consist of 2 new courses and 2 new exams. Both new training courses will be online and testing will be administered via Pearson VUE.

Cisco Webex Solutions Design and Implementation
During this 12 hour online course - available via Partner Education Connection (PEC) - the design and implementation of WebEx solutions will be discussed. Matching exam is 648-232 WDIS.

Designing and Implementing Cisco Unified Communications on Unified Computing Systems
During this 14 hour online course - available via the Cisco Learning Network - the implementation of a virtualized UC on a UCS environment will be discussed. Matching exam is 648-232 DIUCUCS.

Beginning 10th October 2012, new Advanced Collaboration Architecture and Advanced Unified Communications Specialized Partners, and existing partners renewing their specialization, will have access to these new courses and exams. Partners are encouraged to meet the new requirements immediately upon availability.
