Less certification requirements per role, same number of exams

Changes in the Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture Specialization

The Cisco Channel Partner Program continues to evolve: Cisco has now announced changes in the Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture Specialization.

The reason of this change is that Cisco has received feedback from many partners about the system engineer role within this architecture. Partners find the role consists of too many courses and exams.

Cisco shows to take this feedback seriously. After Cisco's announcement to extend the deadline for the transitioning to the Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture and Advanced Security Architecture Specializations, 2 weeks ago, Cisco now announces to divide the exams in the Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture Specialization over different roles.

A summary of the changes:

Account Manager
As of 1st August Selling Business Outcomes is a requirement instead of CSE v6.

System Engineer
In addition to the !CCDP certification 2 exams are required instead of 4.

Field Engineer 1
!CCNP Routing & Switching is sufficient, instead of both CCNP Routing & Switching + CCNA Wireless.

Field Engineer 2
!CCNA Wireless

Cisco Qualified Specialist
The 2 required system engineer exams have been moved to this additional role which can be achieved by every employee in the organization.

The consequence of these changes is that the roles have become less heavy but the number of exams remains the same.
