Who should attend
The course is designed for experienced Linux system administrators who want to use SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching 12.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, it is highly recommended that students have a good working knowledge of Linux system administration and should be able to:
- Install and configure SLES, ideally SLES 12
- Install updates and patches on SLES
- Monitor a SLES system

- Perform live kernel patching
- Perform monitor the live kernel patching process
Course Content
The course SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching 12 Administration teaches system administrators how to use SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching 12 to do SUSE Linux kernel updates without rebooting the system. It covers the SUSE Linux Enterprise Live Patching 12 architecture, installation and setup. It teaches how the kernel can be updated without a reboot, how the update process can be monitored, what pitfalls exist and how to solve them. Attending students should have a good working knowledge of system configuration and command line work with Linux.
