Cisco announcing changes in the CCIE Routing & Switching certification

Late 2013 Cisco announced changes in the CCIE Routing & Switching certification. The current exams, both the written and the lab exam, are based on version 4.0 and available until 3rd June 2014. As of 4th June both exams will be available in version 5.0.

Fast Lane will be starting a CCIE 360 program for Routing & Switching in March 2014 based on version 5.0. This program will have a duration of more than 1 year and consists of a combination of intensive e-learning and classroom-based training. The Performance Assessment Labs are an important component of the e-learning. They provide an experience that is similar to taking the actual CCIE lab and measure how close the candidate is to developing the skills to pass the actual CCIE lab.

The 2 classroom-based courses, the 5-day !Cisco Internetwork Expert Routing & Switching 1 (CIERS1) and the 5-day !Cisco Internetwork Expert Routing & Switching 1 (CIERS1), will be scheduled to take place in June 2014 and January 2015.
