New Cisco Nexus 5000, 2000 and 1000V training courses available with Fast Lane

As a Cisco Learning Solutions Partner, Fast Lane’s course offering includes all of the official training courses for the Cisco Nexus product family. Fast Lane has recently completed the new revision to the !Implementing Cisco Data Center Network Infrastructure 2 (DCNI-2) course. This revision is focused on the actual Nexus platform and features the 5000 and 7000 series switches. Another Nexus course in the Fast Lane course offering is the !Data Center Network Infrastructure Design (DCNID) course.

New Nexus training courses
Fast Lane’s intimate knowledge of the Nexus platform gained through this project, as well as the experience in delivering authorized VMware courses, provided the opportunity to develop an exclusive offering combining two courses featuring the Nexus 5000, 2000 and 1000V switch. This offering focuses on how the Nexus platform and VMware ‘play’ together in the network and how the data center of the future looks to Cisco.

NEW !Implementing Data Center Networks Using the Cisco Nexus 5000 Switch and 2000 Fabric Extender (IDCN5K)
This highly focused, 3-day course provides a detailed understanding of Cisco's converged SAN/LAN network architecture using Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and Data Center Bridging (DCB) protocols on the Cisco Nexus 5000 and Nexus 2000 platform. In this course the student will learn about the hardware and software architecture of the Nexus 5000 and 2000 switches, and how this architecture deploys congestion management and other QoS characteristics in the FCoE/DCE networks. During this course students will use Fast Lane’s new Cisco Nexus 7000 lab for all hands on lab exercises.

NEW !Implementing Data Center Networks Using the Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch (IDCN1V)
This highly focused, 2-day course provides a detailed understanding of the emerging features and protocols supported by the Nexus 1000V product family. Upon completion of this course, the student will understand product placement for the Nexus 1000V, in addition to its close relationship to VMware devices and services. During this course students will use Fast Lane’s new Cisco Nexus 7000 lab for all hands on lab exercises.

Fast Lane recently expanded its laboratory infrastructure with the addition of a Cisco Nexus 7000 lab, along with additional Nexus 5000 and 2000 systems.

Cisco Nexus switches enable flexible and scalable structures to be created in data centre networks. The modular Nexus 7000 series has been designed specifically for 10-Gigabit Ethernet networks. The system runs on the Cisco NX-OS operating system.
