New ROUTE, SWITCH and TSHOOT courses

Introducing the revised CCNP curriculum

Today – 25th January, 2010 – Cisco announces the revised !CCNP certification. There will now be three courses available replacing the current BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW and ONT courses.

CCNP validates the knowledge and skills that are required to plan, implement, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot converged enterprise networks. The requirements for CCNP were designed to reflect the responsibilities that are associated with roles such as network engineer, system engineer, network support engineer, network administrator, network consultant, or system integrator.

The !CCNA certification serves as a prerequisite for all new CCNP courses. Please refer to the course descriptions to find out more on the additional working experience that is required.

The new CCNP courses are designed for enterprise network engineers with at least one year of job experience who are ready to advance their skills and work independently on complex network solutions.
